the studio started to collaborate with nürnberg based artist karla köhler. common
works are supposed to be shown in the future, the first output is the music video
for the new record of tides track ‘granada interface (the lost tapes)’ taken from
the forthcoming vinyl ep with the same name. the video shows köhler´s urban design
in changing weather in light constellations with a camera circling around the
complex. the video will be on screens february 9th, the ep is supposed to be released
is best known for sculptures and paintings of skyscrapers focussing on modern
urbanity. after handcrafting pieces for many years köhler has now started to create
digital models of her works and started to use 3d-printers to create the typical
skyscrapers. as working with digital data it was easy for the studio to start
a collaboration working on the delivered data.

news: in 2015 the studio created 'antenna', a metaphoric and endless serach represented
by a large antenna listening deep into space. this video is not only a video loop,
it is based upon four loopable parts being randomly combined to an actually endless
progression and ongoing observation without repetition. the work was shown as
concepted during the matthias danberg/sven piayda 'tragic kingdom (exquisite boredom)'
at kunstraum unten in bochum and performed its ongoing serach for weeks. now the
studio is working on a new high defitition video, also based upon random progression
exploring the possibility to get 'heads' while tossing a coin - and therefore
questioning reality and fiction. work in progression, stills may come up, cross
ten years ago the techno/dance project factor-4 played live in dortmund featuring
targia from tuareg and sven piayda a.k.a. general piayda on guitar. there have
been different videos and snippets on and off in the net, now factor-4 mastermind
alex terzakis has brought back the sound to youtube illustrated by some photos,
original visuals and cell phone videos.
