time flies, another year is over. as in every year we like to have a look at the past releases an the expected ones in the future, this is what we are going to do this year also, but we will also have a look at the live appearances and studio work.

past:
zany music released the first DVD (AEperformance) ever, so it was the first step into future audiovisual releases. the flamma piayda complex released their debut album and gave new life to the 80ies metal. finally, the senary process, sven´s 6th and most grungy album came out.
additionally we have to mention three exhibitions, sven piayda was involved in: kunst-cluster, AESTATEvisual and finally SETS, STILLS, STORIES AND STRUCTURES.

present:
much is possible between the years. sven was in studio to record and is working on different video installations, recently.

future:
the long awaited remix album PATCH featuring remixes from their 2008 milestone SUPERFLAT is expected to be finally released in spring 2010. additionally, two EPs are expected to be available for download, released by different labels.
additionally, sven is working on his 7th (according to some rumours his last) solo album. no dates for any release, work in progress.
next to it, he is working on a new solo project (working title TRANSFORMANCE) featuring material from different projects, merged and transformed togeher, featuring remixed and unreleased sounds from video installations, AESTATE, TFPC and solo works well as photography and CGI. even an audiovisual release is posslibe, nothings save.

wow, what a party! last saturday opened the long awaited EVIDENCE PARTY featuring music from the album plus meeting the guys behind the band.
the response was okay, much rocking and exchanging, as the band appeared a little ill and stressed, the party ended far before dawn - actually to early for some fans...

the band will come back with new output, live and parties in 2010, some ideas are still in the pipeline.
we are recently waiting for some more feedback.

the party was a success, you could buy the album for special prices and on the fan´s demand even autographed, see above.


while signing, sven mentioned his first rock staresque signing procedures back in 2005: after a very hot gig in a small club, he could not even put away the guitar and started signinng straight away...

zany music released the flamma piayda complex´ album the evidence on october 31st. the release gained fantastic feedback and is commercially a lot more successful than expected.
the band is very proud of their debut, but they are busy with different other projects, so they will not come up live. therefore our favourite rock´n´roll pub - the anyway - has announced THE EVIDENCE PARTY.
you will have the opportunity to have some drinks with the band and listen to their songs on december 5, 2009 | 8 pm, do not miss it!

it is our massive pleasure to announce the new album by sven piayda, entitled 'the senary process'. the new album is available now as physical version (compact distc) and digital download (mp3) via zany music.
over the last months you have had the opportunity to download or listen to ther songs "dust ride" and "consolation" which are taken from the album. "down", the "dust ride digital single" bonus track, is also featured on the album.
the senary process was recorded compleatly in 2008, but not relesed to not interrupt the promotopn of pentagroove. like all sven piayda solo albums before, the senary process follows the principle of counting by title (senary means to be based on a six) and colour (violet is the second secondary colour after green, after primary colours yellow, red and blue).

it feels unbelievable for everyone, it has been ten years now since portrait, sven´s debut album, was released. actually it was planned as just one album and nothing to follow, but it has turned out as the base for countless releases and styles, pop and avantgardistic directions, guitar music and electronica.

caused by sickness, there have not been any AESTATEvisual related actions in th anyway over the last weeks. some of you might still remember the opening of the exhibition, now the show closes for other artists. this friday, september 18th (8 pm, berliner str. 82, essen, germany), will be the last day of the exhibition, plus it is a video screening date. you will have the opportunity to watch the works for the last time in public, to watch the video installation and to meet and greet the artists. like the second screening date on august 1st, this date is higly recommended and appreciated, we expect many visitors and a great party. once again, for the last time, do not miss it, visit the exhibition. if you need guidance, you can mail us via contact[at]svenpiayda.com

some happy news after this series of cancellations: it is our massive pleasure to announce the new album from sven, entitled 'the senary process'. the sixth solo album by sven piayda will be released on october 12th, 2009 on zany music. for the first time, the new album will be released as compact disc as usual but also as download! sensation on zany music: for the first time the label will release a new album additionally as download. recently the team is setting up the servers, the new service will be available on october, hopefully. the new album the senary process will be the first album to be digitally available. the label has announced to add the full sven catalogue over the upcoming months.

unfortunately, we have some bad news. the AESTATE live performance as scheduled for this saturday at the bitstream festival is cancelled. the band is very unhappy to tell you so, the gig was scheduled for months and was supposed to be a performance similar but larger to the audiodigitale gig last year. this cancellation is the first one in the group´s career.

the reason for this cancellation are health concerning issues. there is no possibility for AESTATE to perform live currently. the group hopes to do the bitstream show at a later date, we will tell you in case of.

after planning and working on this exhibition for months now, we are extremely proud to announce the opening of the AESTATEvisual exhibition in essen, germany.
the exhibition features large scale digital prints, bi-tone prints and embroidery. on selected dates, the anyway gallery will also show the 70 minutes triptyhesque video installation.

after escorting the eichbaumoper project for months now, the playing time is over. everyone involved feels gifted and thankful and we look back with a tiny tear in our eyes.
last saturday, after performing the opera for the last time, the avantgarde staff of the project formed a new supergroup called THE OAK THREE AND THE PRINCESS OF EICHBAUM featuring bernadette lahengst on guitar and vocals, obh architect matthias rick on bass and opera composer felix leuschner on drums plus support on keybords by resident maren schneider.
this new supergroup perfomed only four songs which have somehow a connection to the location. the crowd was more than happy, so the encore was doing these songs again, making the croud scream even more.

this great project is over now, but there are rumours on a future for the opernbauhütte, we will tell you here. we even hope of and work on more AESTATE or sven piayda collaborations.

raumlabor berlin´s opernbauhuette documentary
like thousand other photographers, sven piayda visited the location a hundred times, like all the other photograhers he left no corner, no screw unphotographed. after six months of attempting, a series of photographs was produced which illustrate the transfomation of the opernbauhütte by daylight, season, residents and artists. giving a very formal and static view on the building, you can witness it´s changes over the months.

yesterday AESTATE did their first public hdj set (faq: hdj = hard disk jockey) at the opernbaubar spezial in the opernbauhütte. actually (and sadly) it was AESTATE´s last performance at the opernbauhütte.
it was the first time of AESTATE coming up as dj, chris huff didn´t show up (on stage) yesterday, only AE´s sven piayda mixed electronica, hip hop, rock and funk in a three hour set, combining music files with different synth and sample generators.

the eichbaumoper is sold out, last date:
july 4th, afterparty at 11pm.

these days are full of events. as you know, kunst cluster opens today. it will feature a three part video installation work by sven piayda.

DUALITY 1-3 will be screened as endless loop in the exhibition.

these are quite surprising news. as we are waiting for the grand opening of the AESTATEvisual exhibition, the kunst cluster at arrenberg hoefe annonced sven piayda´s participation in this exhibition.

most surprising: sven piayda who is usually working on large scale computer manipulated photographs is contributing a video installation.
this piece is called DUALITY 1-3, and is believed to be a splitscreen projection with sound running approximately 10 minutes.

the gig is scheduled for june 24th, which is the premiere eve of the EICHBAUMOPER (if you haven´t checked so far, do it now: www.eichbaumoper.de)
AESTATE will play after the opera.

sven has been very busy in creating visual material. one outstanding piece is the music video for the group DanChuck Productions. the track is called "hey what is (edit)" and is a groovy techno house track. sven created a video featuring his classic computer generated imagery linked with real footage and hyperrealistic skies. it is the first time sven creates a video for an other artist (usually you can find many videos for AESTATE and his solo projects).

DanChuck Productions is a new project, featuring already known musicians who remain anonymus recently for the public. we will tell you about the launch of the website and the video.

next to the video work, sven has also been working on other material. among other artists he is preparing the AESTATEvisual exhibition, which is scheduled for the end of may, fixed dates are expected to be posted.
the exhibition is going to featutre computer generated images, video insstallations and embroidery.

plus: there will another solo exhibition featuring sven´s photographic work, scheduledfor summer, dates to be announced...

dust ride, sven´s new single is out today. you can listen to it here on svennet via svennet radio (and/or player) and you can download the single as three-track-bundle with cover in the /CAMP.
the three track version will be available via /CAMP and will feature the following tracks:

03 missing (feat. targia / from pentagroove, 2008)

the full album is expected for later this year, it is supposed to be called the senary process and is scheduled for summer as physical release on zany music.
