merry christmas and happy new year to all of you. i´m so happy if these days are over. i´m looking forward for summer. i´m not the only one. anyway, while i was wrapping all the presents, i had my very own x-mas experience: the wrapping paper is semi-transparent, so i played around with my camera, above you can see some results. a self-prtrait with hat on the left and my christmas tree (outside and unadorned).

as you know, i am not the only person producing music. thank god, anyway. i am very critic, when it comes to music, as you know, i´m not bound to a certain style anymore, i´m bound to...lets say magic. and here they are: the mighty boards of canada, the holy magicians bringing up chapter 3 of your imaginary childhood days. i don't think everything was better in the past - ah, cause it wasn't. but wouldn't it be fun, or better, satisfying to create a collective memory of a personal childhood, which was great? full of dreams, visions, of hope and ridiculous fears, things we miss, just because time pushed us out of it?
i want to be 12 again. and i can: boc´s "the campfire headphase", 2005-10-17.

after a pause of journal entries i will do it again. there are a lot of impressions and dates these days, i did not find the time to write something for the journal, and even if... where should i start? things seem to develop themselves these days, i simply have to follow, and i learned a lot about different things like achitecture, biology, water, people and myself. so, what to do with it? i´m thinking about many projects, but as you know, you´re never in the right mood to start. but it is different with sellafield. i have started this project one year ago, played around with sounds, i wanted to do something more abstract, something that would be easy for me to do, something to play around with. suddenly there was more and more, no way to stop it, and even more shocking: there was interest from the outside. when hh neumann joined "my" project as fixed member, we suddenly had the opportunity to work with more aesthetic channels. we both are workaholics at what we do, we created a system producing itself! what i want to say is:
our abstract idea becomes vivid now. a good feeling.


yesterday we did some press photos in alaska (ge) with photographer patrizia tomza. (she also did many dissident(en) club live pictures, so she was chosen because we know that she knows what she does, actually)
as you see, things develop more and more the way you would expect them to.
i´m enthusiastic. i guess hh neumann is it, too. he won't show it.
what i want to say is, take every offer for any impression you can get, it may flow out one day and you find yourself in something exiting as we do.
i simply hope you enjoy sellafield as much as i do.

as you know, i am a big autechre fan all the way. most people don´t know their music, those who do feel like geeks. as far as i know the best known ae fan is thom yorke from radiohead and - yes, ae coined radiohead´s music a lot. if i ever manage to record (ahm and write of course) the next sven album you will hear and feel their impression on me. you can even take my Sellafield. project and you know what i mean.
i really love their stuff, their brought back excitement into music and whenever i listen to it, i´m never bored. not only in a musical way but also personally they changed my way of thinking. this is what art is all about. i´m changed. this isn't only some strange techno, this its art at is best following great purposes and intentions. if you dive into this, you will not return to any ordinary pop song in near future.
so, the new album, finally. for me this is like christmas. "confield" was a masterpiece, maybe one of the best records i ever heard. "draft 7.30", the follow up, seemed a little deconstructed to me, the new sounds from "untilted" are a little easier again. and by all its weirdness and own style this is not a copy of what we had before.
