although we put every image that was taken on the dissident(en) club einstuerzende neubauten support gig on the net, there are more images by others, which we did not find so far. above you see sven performing "komm mit (free)" live in bielefeld. the images can be seen on the campusradio bielefeld site, a direct link can be found here. well, we hope to get every photo, every whatever has been photographed there. do you have any dissident(en) club live pictures? please tell us!

well, we want to try it again. phoenix is so keen on christmas, there seems to be nothing better for her. i´m not the prototype of a christmas fan, but in connection to our design manifests i think it can be fun. many of you may remember baunachten03, our first try to mix up two things in a party, but remember, everything is seriously. if you want to learn more about our baunachten thing, please read the entries from 2003 on baunachten, by clicking here.
this time a lot more people are expected. we will do a soundtrack for bn04 and have custom cookies!!! this event becomes quite big, maybe bigger than the stuff we did before, anyway, it is a chance to meet everyone who is around us.
date, time and location are clear so far, but invitations will go out by e-mail within the next weeks (so you know that we want you here J ) and get some extra info and faq.

am dienstag den 26.10.04 waren die legendären "moppel studioz" über 2 jahre nach den zumindest bei fans schon kultcharakter genießenden takes der ep "grüne haare" wieder einmal schauplatz einer der mittlerweile megararen sessions von smith und piayda - und das ziemlich genau 10 jahre nach dem ersten zusammentreffen der beiden "gitarristen aus leidenschaft".
und nach guter tradition wurde das ergebnis für die nachwelt aufgezeichnet:

it’s been 27 years right now and i feel like it was yesterday when you…first held a guitar in your hands! ;-)
and look what you’ve done all the time. creating an image that combines both the heart and the spirit of a musician and an artist. an artist indeed you are and what a nice one. inspired by a whole lot of different impressions, never loosing your own strong imagination and creativity.
what do we have to expect in the coming years. i guess nothing less than great work and strong feelings that bring joy and sometimes wondering to us.
however. keep going, sven! continue to make art and music which is art and show them to us, because we love it and never loose your faith!

2004-10-15 sichtwerk05 - 2004 tonight | entry by sven

ok, this is my every-year-chance to bring you some culture. well, sichtwerk opens today, the showing from the art and design students from the university of essen. i will join the exhibition tonight, not as an artist (like in 2001 or 2002 as pictured above), but simply as a visitor. i also got some friends to join it, well you simply bait them with diner and drinks, ain´t it a shame? J whatever, what else can you do if you are born to sacrifice you life to art. sounds strange? well, don´t take it to serious. or even better: decide yourself. sichtwek will be running this weekend only. - come and see tomorrows artists.

2004-09-16 full access - new face | entry by webmaster

in late summer 2003 we started to come up with new versions of svennet. we kicked out the flash stuff and wanted to make svennet easily assessable for everyone - but using great and (here come the geious point) changing designs. the result is svennetv5. this site uses frames and here our user problem appeared again. we decided on a no frames site, but our first try was kind of a frankenstein, we kicked it out (do not ask for it, big shame) and replaced it by the new no frames site, which is much closer to the original site than ever before. we hope you like it, sven does, thank god...
by the way, our correspondents alina mori and phoenix are available by mail again, finally.

auf jeden fall aber ganz wichtig beim genuss dieser platte:

mehrmals hören!
(man hört sich ein, der sven hat sich bei den meisten sachen was dabei gedacht).

kopfhörer verwenden!
(für die stereo-effekte wichtig und auch zum "darunterhören" unabdingbar - jeder zentimeter weg von der platte nimmt ihr einen teil ihrer gesamtaussage.

der sven hat hier wirklich ganze und gute arbeit geleistet.
(der rest ist einfach geschmackssache).

2004-07-09 my bad music lament: here is a solution!!! | entry by sven

ok, i haven't updated my journal site for a while now, there was a lot to do for me and i could not find the right time and the right mood. i guess it is better now. so you might remember my bad music lament from 2004-04-08: boc´s music has the right to children reissued - entry. well, it is easy to say what you do not like instead of telling what you want. yes, boc are still my number one.
looking back, i have to admit that trinity really became a good album and i´m happy with it, and yes, i was able to produce the music i wanted to hear. now i´m simply doing it again. in 2003 i started the record of tides project with jay, we wanted to see how far we can go in constructing and deconstructing tunes. and yes, this album is everything but boring. sometimes so sweet and sometimes simply killing nerves. that's what i want. i want you to dive into it. if you want to stay out - stay out. if you want to discover it - take enough time and discover it and you won't be disappointed. anyway, i am not the first one looking for new borders, this is postmodernism, you know, you'll never be the first one, someone has already done it before. i´ll show you what i mean: enter the member area and have a look at the downloads. we have collected all downloads from this site, so you will simply have to check one site. additionally you can download two further mp3s. one track by autechre and one by tomahawk. if you are looking for the same things in music i do, you may find sounds which are allowed to be called music. please note: these mp3s are found legally on the net, they are offered by their labels. i would never tell you to download illegal stuff, because i do not want you to share my music without my knowledge.

	i was very impressed by every sven release so far...but i have to tell you: by all it`s rawness and less production, the new album kicks ass and is, in my opinion, the best sven album so far... questions? complaints? click here

2004-04-08 boc´s music has the right to children reissued | entry by sven

you might know this situation: someone asks you what is you favourite music or what band do you like. i feel very strange in this moment, often i really cannot remember what i actually like!!! however, i´m still keen on any nuno bettencourt stuff, mourning widows, population 1 or schizzophonic, but i would not answer "rock music". most of the stuff released today seems so strange to me, i have no connection to any kind of rock or heavy music on the radio or on television these days. am i still a rock fan??? i do not know, but the time was up to search for new borders. via internet i found a band (if you want to call em so) called boards of canada. i do not know what instruments they use or where all these strange sounds come from, but i do not care. music became mystic again. there are some people producing records and i have no idea where it comes from, it is more than the sum of elements again. it is vivid again. last monday boc´s first album (after many eps) was re-released as a digipak with another track ("happy cycling"). and for a long time this childish feeling returned: i could not wait to order it - and i am still exited. and now i listen to trinity and i ask myself, where do these rock sounds come from? didn't i say that i´m fed up with it??? well, i guess it is different. i simply do the music that i want to hear, no matter if it is rock or electro or whatever. i hope that i am as authentic and exiting as boc and that someone feels the same while listening to trinity like me on boc. what i want to say is, we need new borders. risk something. no more stealing, no more remixes, no more music for radios. i want an impact. i wish my music could have this impact on you as boc´s has on me. open ears again, get exited, become euphoric. this is what it is all about.

i did not comment the fact of our gig of this dimension, because i always thought it could be bad and i might look like a fool by inviting you to come. now i know it was great. i hope to hear the live recordings soon and give you any stuff i can find. anyway, i would like to thank some persons: first of all anna and phoenix for your support, you did a great job, then to all roadies for being careful with my stuff. at least a short hello to alec and dirk again, i hope you liked it, unfortunately i missed you after the gig...hope to hear from you soon. thanks to everyone involved and for supporting us, even when we were the supporters!!!

2003-02-03 trinity | mix it again, baby | entry by sven

as you know "trinity" is already done, but i have to find the right mix. anyway, today has been the second mixing session and there have been only a few corrections to do. looks good, so far. but, and there is always a but, my time is limited these days and you have to be patient and in will not keep you waiting longer than necessary. so, this is my brave idea: "trinity" may be released around easter. oh, did i really post this???

2004-01-03 visiting sven recording at moppelstudioz | entry by alina mori

as i visited sven at his moppelstudioz i was pleased to see him working really hard. his studio is small but handsome and as it is designed after the famous bauhaus concepts, there´s not much to interfere with his creativity. and creativity he has! i´m honored to say that i got the opportunity to listen to first mixes of the electronic parts for trinity and even if sven says that it will sound less electronically i doubt it. what is amazing, is that sven has a new drummer which he would not name to me but he is incredible! the songs got even more drive than on diptych. i´m looking forward to sven´s guitar recording, ´cos i know, he´ll use all the tracks he got for more and more guitars. i promise i´ll be there to give you first hand information about how the recording´s going on, so stay tuned!!
